2021 Covid-19 Safety Plan

General Safety Practices
  • Masks will be required for all campers, staff and volunteers whenever they are indoors. Outdoors, staff will decide whether campers are spaced enough to allow masks to be lowered.

  • Campers are to bring two masks, one that they will wear and the other sealed in a plastic bag in case their primary mask tears or gets wet.

  • Campers with a temperature of 100.4 will not be admitted to camp. If a camper develops a fever during camp, they will be removed from the general camp population and observed by a vaccinated adult. If their temperature reaches 100.4, a parent or guardian will be required to pick them up within 30 minutes.

  • Water fountains will not be utilized. Campers are required to bring a water bottle that designated staff will refill from coolers.

  • Campers will not be permitted to change camps once they have attended and participated in that group.

  • Campers will use hand sanitizer upon entering the facility and have regular handwashing throughout their time at camp.

  • Camp groups will not be allowed to mingle throughout the day. Playground time, gym time, etc, will be restricted to a single group at a time.

  • RCSP is erecting two outdoor tents, 30x45 feet behind the school for outdoor space to be utilized by camps.

Morning Drop Off
  • Morning drop off will occur as in past years, with families checking in at the front doors of the parish center.

  • Staff will greet campers at the doors, administer temperature checks and volunteers will bring them around the building to gather outside on the blacktop for morning show. On days with inclement weather, families will be checked in in the first floor hallway, there will be no morning show and campers will be brought to their respective indoor classrooms.

Midday Pick Up
  • Midday pick up will occur at 12:15pm.

  • Parents enter through the front parish center doors and proceed into the gym.

  • Campers will be spaced according to their camps and parents will check their child out from their counselor and proceed out the side gym doors.

  • All parents are asked to wear masks when coming into the building.

Before Care/Aftercare
  • Registration for before and aftercare will happen the same as previous years with staff asking families if they need aftercare for that day and marking it on our iPad's. Parents will then be directed either to pay for their extended care at that time via check or cash at the payment table inside the parish center or may make a payment in the afternoon when they pick their camper up from aftercare.

  • Before care operates from 7:00-8:30am. Please enter through the front parish center doors. Before care will take place in the gym with sports and table games.

  • Aftercare will operate from 12:30-5:30pm. Campers will be divided into 4 separate cohorts based on their morning camps and cohorts will be kept separate from one another through aftercare. Two cohorts will eat lunch under one of the large tents and the other two will eat in the gym. These groups will alternate eating inside and outside. On days of inclement weather, cohorts will eat in separate indoor spaces.

  • Water Day is still being debated.
